Today we’re going to finish up this 3 part series on how to start your own home business. If you missed the first two parts, it would be helpful to go back and read those over as each of the steps builds on the last. Here’s the links.
So lets jump into part 3! If there is an under-rated step to this process of starting your home or small business this is it. Part 3 is all about taking consistent action. I can see the eyes rolling now. Really…Action. That’s it.
Yes it is. I work with so many coaching and consulting clients who never seem to get this. You have to take consistent action. They spend all of the time and effort on planning things out, learning new skills and doing market research. But they never seem to get around to taking action on all of that research and planning.
There are all kinds of reasons for this. Subconsciously they maybe afraid of something. Maybe all their friends have told them they will fail. Maybe their not sure if they have enough information to get started. It doesn’t really matter why as the results will be the same until they take action.
If you have been following along with this blog series hopefully you you have already started taking action with getting started checklist, forming your marketing plan and starting to think of your business in terms of systems. If you have you are miles ahead of most of your competition.
I want to take this one step further and stress that you take consistent action. What ever goals that you have set for yourself and your business you need to get in the habit of working towards it on a consistent basis.
I didn’t say once a day (although the sooner you get to this point the better results you’ll get) or every week. It is whatever works best for your situation. If that is twice a week then that is what you do every week. Be consistent in everything that you do!
Get out there and start taking some action now! Next time I’ll cover some tips and strategies for getting more leads!
