Hey folks…When’s the last time you did something outrageous?!
College? High school? Your best friends twenty-first birthday?
It’s ok to go out and do something total crazy every once in a while. Not only that its healthy for your mind, body and spirit! Its liberating and relieves stress. Not to mention just plain FUN! So what are you waiting for?!
Being an entrepreneur requires us to think outside the box. To be creative. To come up with new ideas, products and services! But like all things we need to practice on a continuous basis in order to stay sharp at it.
I’ve always been a little nuts (according to my family and close friends-too much so) so it comes very easy for me…but lately not often enough. As a home business owner I know what it is like to always be concerned with professional appearances. But if that is all you focus on you will become stuffy without even realizing it.
Remember people want to do business with people they know, like and trust. Building that trust means being human. You have to let your hair down once in a while, relax and be yourself. It’s ok to be crazy. It’s ok to make mistakes along the way (as long as you own up to them and make things right). It’s ok to have some Fun. In fact it is imperative if you want people to like you.
Here are a few of the crazy things that I’ve been up to lately!
Start another semester at college! Keep in mind I’m now in my 40′s so that’s kind of crazy! Especially considering I’ll be real close to 50 before getting my degree! It’s a lot of work but I’m having a lot of Fun too!
Just got back from a live event in Orlando FL with Tracy (wife)! We went to the Invado International Training and it was really amazing! Met a ton of great people there. Did some interviews (coming soon) and just had a great time! You can find out more about Invado/Referdia here!
We recently had a blizzard here in Connecticut. If you know me, you know how much I loath winter and snow! Well yesterday I decided to have a little fun with it! Just check out the photo above. The cool thing about it is I’m sure that I will be able to use this in a future marketing piece for my business. To see more of what I’m talking about, check out Bill Glazer’s book on Outrageous Advertising here!
